Audrey Hall is a rare find, one of those singers who invades your consciousness to carry you along to wherever she’s going. You go willingly. She is the first female reggae singer to have two consecutive top twenty British hits. Born in Britain, Audrey pursued her love of music and scored with major hits after being in the business for over 15 years. In 1985, she had the ingenious answer to Beres Hammond's ''What One Dance Can Do' with her own version 'One Dance Won't Do'. She followed up with her other chart topping hit 'Smile'. This singer / songwriter has had a string of hits and singles and six albums to her name. Back in the early days Audrey Hall, sister of the equally famous diva Pam Hall, had her first taste of the music industry while working with Dandy Livingstone, (former member of Sugar and Dandy w / Tito Simon), who teamed with Audrey to form Dandy and Audrey. They released an album entitled 'Morningside of the Mountain' for Trojan Records and later released a second album together entitled 'I Need You’. This sultry diva of Reggae is yet another 'queen bee' that uses the influence of her Jamaican, British and American cultures to create a phenomenal blend of music. Her smooth, rich, haunting vocals can be heard on other artistes recordings including Reggae greats like Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff and Toots and the Maytals. One of Audrey’s songs “Eight Little Notes” can be heard on the movie soundtrack 'Someone to Watch Over Me' starring John Berringer and Meme Rogers. Audrey still continues to compose and arrange her music; still doing what she loves dearly.
